The rainbow flag is a symbol of LGBTQIA+ pride. Gilbert Baker designed the rainbow flag in San Francisco in 1978, and it quickly became a symbol for the LGBT rights movement worldwide. There have been several revisions to the flag. Most commonly, you will now see 6 colors represented on the flag – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.
